KATZ produces more than a billion beverage coasters in seven months for the first time
Production operations at the KATZ site in Weisenbach stand out for many reasons, one of them being that the entire value chain is on-site. The first step is to process the wood, first into wood pulp and then into wood pulp board. After this, the board is printed in the in-house printing shop, and finally the drinks coasters are stamped and packaged in the stamping and packaging facilities—all on site. The coasters are then sent around the world from the site. KATZ supplies around 470 customers in 47 countries.
Now, a new production beverage coaster record has been set and is about to enter the company’s annals. From January to July of 2022, more than a billion beverage coasters were produced and delivered within seven months for the first time ever.
In addition to its operations at the Weisenbach site, KATZ produces beverage coasters at two sites in the USA. Around 600 million further drinks coasters were produced and delivered from these sites in the same time period.
